At Gillman Chrysler Jeep® Dodge RAM, we make it easy for drivers to build a vehicle that offers the features that they need. When you check out our new RAM and Jeep models, you'll see just how many options they offer, from additional features to different engines and drivetrains. Now one RAM model is getting ready to offer drivers yet another choice. The 2020 RAM 1500 EcoDiesel is coming.

The 2020 RAM 1500 and the 2019 RAM 1500 Classic will soon offer the next-generation EcoDiesel V6 engine. It will put out 260 horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque, an improvement of 20 horsepower and 60 lb-ft of torque over the last model thanks to some upgrades. RAM engineers added a water-cooled geometry turbo, lighter pistons, a new fuel injection system, and other updates that make our diesel-powered trucks more capable than ever.

This new EcoDiesel V6 engine offers best-in-class torque, easily topping other diesel-powered competing vehicles. The main benefit of diesel engines is that extra torque, so you might as well opt for the best when shopping for a diesel-powered truck. Speaking of towing, the EcoDiesel V6 engine boosts the towing capacity of the 2020 RAM 1500 to 12,560 pounds.

The RAM brand is also promising great fuel economy numbers, although we don't have the final EPA estimates just yet. If you're looking for an efficient, tough pickup truck, a RAM vehicle with the EcoDiesel V6 engine might be just what you've been searching for. This option should arrive later this year.

So when you're looking for trucks that offer exactly what you need, don't compromise. Talk to our knowledgeable RAM dealers, proudly serving Houston and the surrounding areas. We'll help you sort through a wide assortment of options and you'll be driving away in the perfect SUV or truck before you know it.
